The Central Park & Cascade
A central park is proposed through the heart of the scheme, starting on the southern boundary with Kimpton Road with a significant water feature taking advantage of the slope of the site. The cascade and park will cover 5 acres and provide the principal public amenity and a central focus for the development.
It will offer a unique sense of place, arrival and scale - as well as being a safe landmark feature.
Public Squares & Public Promenades
The urban squares generate nodes of activity along transport routes. They are flexible spaces, with attractive landscape features including public works of art and clever use of lighting and planting. Key moments are created en route, intended to become meeting places and areas of outdoor interaction.
Retained & Enhanced Landscape Embankments
The existing mature vegetation provides the opportunity for a green network to be integrated within the masterplan. With particular attention to accessibility, the landscape proposals address the change in levels found in these zones. The gradient of the primary hardscape provides easy access for pedestrians and is sealed for ease of maintenance. |
